Washing machine advice: Caring for your machine
Most people now wash at 40 degrees or below. Dirt removed from clothes can build up inside the washing machine and needs an occasional hot wash to remove it. In extreme cases this build up can cause a machine to smell.
As recommended in washing machine instruction books, a regular service wash will look after the machine and prevent any such malodour.
Our tip: Perform a hot wash (60 degrees or more) every 4 weeks with an oxygen bleach - containing detergent such as ariel biological powder with no clothes in the machine.
